CAREER CLOTHING DONATIONS

Donate your Business Appropriate Clothing by 5/22/15, at our office,  to empower unemployed individuals in need, in establishing economic independence. Your donation could help someone make that momentous first step towards a new future.

Accepted items include New or Gently Used:

  • Dress Shirts, Slacks/Pants, Skirts
  • Sweaters, Blouses, Dresses
  • Ties, Belts, Fashion Jewelry
  • Dress Shoes, Purses, Briefcases

BKC is a 100% member firm on the New Jersey Society of CPA’s (NJSCPA) and is participating in the NJSCPA Month of Service which represents the CPA profession’s ongoing commitment to serving the communities where its professionals live and work.

Donations will be distributed through the following programs:

The NORWESCAP Career and Life Transitions Center for Women which provides supportive services to meet the needs of “Displaced Homemakers” in Hunterdon, Mercer, Somerset and Warren Counties.  A “Displaced Homemaker” is a person who has lost their primary means of financial support due to: Separation, Divorce, Widowhood, or Disability of Spouse.  The Career and Life Transitions Center for Women focuses on providing quality services that will assist women to gain personal and economic self-sufficiency and reach their full potential through education, training, job readiness, community referrals and supportive services.

The NORWESCAP Family Support Center is a “one-stop” shop that provides wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis.  Family Success Centers (FSC) offer services to families and bring together concerned community residents, leaders, and community agencies to address the problems that threaten the safety and stability of families and the community.  There is no cost to access services provided by Family Success Centers and no eligibility requirements- all are welcome at the FSC.  Family Success Centers aim to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families and neighborhoods stronger by helping and empowering all families to succeed.

The NORWESCAP Fatherhood Program- 24/7 Dad  which is a collaboration between NORWESCAP’s Supporting Youth in Their Communities Program, Family Success Center, and Head Start. This initiative focuses on providing an effective, strengths based, nationally accredited curriculum to a diverse group of fathers, male role models, and male caregivers. The group meets on a weekly basis to discuss issues specific to men and fatherhood. The discussions center on appropriate discipline, communication, work and life balance, manhood, and many more topics. The group is structured into three components: open discussion group, parent-child activities, and educational workshops.  More information is available at www.norwescap.org
