Bedard, Kurowicki & Co., CPA's Manager Participates in
Junior Achievement Event
FLEMINGTON, New Jersey – Recently, Kenneth Horvath, CPA, of Bedard, Kurowicki & Co., CPA’s and a resident of Bridgewater, NJ, participated in “JA Day,” a Junior Achievement of New Jersey event, held at Martin Luther King Junior Elementary School in Edison, NJ.
Junior Achievement of New Jersey partnered with the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Protiviti and PSE&G to teach financial literacy programs to students in the third, fourth and fifth grades. The program covered topics such as how to start a business, create a budget and personal banking, using concepts the students could relate to, such as operating a lemonade stand. When asked about the event, Ken said, “Teaching young students about how to start their own business was a very rewarding experience.”
Junior Achievement of New Jersey is the local chapter of Junior Achievement Worldwide, an organization whose goal is to prepare students to enter our global economy equipped with the tools needed to be successful entrepreneurs.
